Just to make it feel like it's really Christmas

Last night saw us at the vets! The chinchilla has had a teary eye for a few days, that in itself isn't a problem but yesterday evening he had a bit of discharge in the corners of both eyes so we popped him off to our fab team at woodlands. Thankfully they think it's just an infection, so topical treatment only. I was a little concerned about malocclusion as he is an old boy of about 17 years! Malocclusion is where the roots of the teeth grow upwards and can press on the tear ducts causing watery eyes. There is no cure and it would have meant the end for our old boy. Thankfully his teeth look in great condition, other than a bit of spurring on one tooth at the back which isn't causing any problems.
Just as I was about to leave for the vets I went out to lock the chooks up for the night and immediately knew something wasn't right with Ellie. Thankfully it was just a soft egg which she got out successfully, she popped it out at the top of the ramp to their house where it bounced all the way down before bursting and making a big mess! They like to keep me busy and alert at all times do my animals!
As for me, well I'm more than ready to embrace 2012! 2011 has been one of the worst years of my life and I am sick of it and can't wait to try and put it all behind me. Whilst I am well aware that certain things are going to need a lot of work, such as my ridiculously failing health, I am going to try my best to make 2012 MY year. I deserve it!

Random pics... Jess last night all cosy, my chooks guarding the front door for me this morning lol, and my gorgeous Lola on my shoulder Christmas morning!
